Germany shooting: Two dead as suspect on the run - major police operation underway
A SHOOTING has taken place in Germany with reports claiming two people have been killed today.

According to reports, the shooting took place near the city of Kiel, in Dänischenhagen. The assailant has not been apprehended as of yet but police are on the scene. Local police have confirmed that a homicide took place today but the gunman is still on the run.
Schleswig-Holstein police said: "In Dänischenhagen there was a homicide.
"We are searching for the perpetrator.
"There is no indication that this is a shooting spree.
"We will tell you more as soon as there is more information."
Local news outlets have claimed the police have cordoned off a brewery in Kiel after shots were fired in Dänischenhagen.
According to German publication Bild, several police cars have been called to the scene.
A helicopter is also hovering over the area while an ambulance is also on site.
According to reports, a man and a woman are believed to have been killed in northern Germany.

Police revealed they had been called to the scene at 11am local time (10amBST).
Julia Bunge from Kiel police told RTL: "We found two dead people in the building.
"It is possible that the shooter drove to the state capital, some 16 kilometres away, after the fact."
A resident from Kiel spoke of her shock at seeing a heavy police presence following the shooting.

She also told RTL: "My neighbour's son is sitting in the apartment and is all alone.
"He is only 7 years old. We are totally in shock."
Another resident said: "We have been living here for 21 years and never thought that we would have to be scared here."
A third resident also said: "The policemen arrived here in full gear and you could already hear that they prepared their weapons for use inside the car.
"And then they went into the underground car park with machine guns."
Earlier this year, Germany marked the anniversary of the deaths of 11 people killed in the German city of Hanau.
Police were called to two shootings in hookah bars in the city.
The attack was carried out by a far-right extremist who later killed himself.
