Melania Trump shock: FLOTUS snubbed by friend who brands her campaign 'illiterate'
MELANIA TRUMP’s campaign was reportedly branded “illiterate” by a former friend, according to reports.
The First Lady’s Be Best initiative was attacked by Stephanie Winston Wolkoff who allegedly called the name “illiterate”. Ms Wolkoff reportedly helped Melania transition into the White House and advised her on policy platforms in the East Wing, according to Vanity Fair. She told Melania her anti-bullying campaign “sounded illiterate”, a source told the publication.
However, Melania stuck with the name as the alternative, “Children First” sounded too much like US President Donald Trump’s “America First”.
The alleged branding comes as Ms Wolkoff was subpoenaed by Washington DC’s Attorney General to hand over documents related to planning Trump’s inauguration.
Despite signing a non-disclosure agreement, Ms Wolkoff has suggested she would “speak freely”.
Ms Wolkoff told Vanity Fair: “If the Presidential Inaugural Committee wants to release me from this obligation, I would be able to speak freely without the fear of legal or financial repercussions.

“Otherwise, I am regrettably unable to provide substantial comment.”
The news comes following the announcement Melania’s life will be written about in an unauthorised biography named ‘Free, Melania’ set to hit shelves this December.
The First Lady’s life will be written about by CNN’s East Wing correspondent Kate Bennett in the book. But details surrounding what will be included are still under wraps.
The tone of the book is likely to follow on from CNN’s documentary, ‘Woman of Mystery: Melania Trump’.

The new book is satirically named ‘Free, Melania’ after a viral trend where the public have suggested she needs to be “freed” from her role.
Ms Bennett shared the news of the impending release on her Twitter which sparked a flurry of comments from users.
While some “can’t wait to read it”, others savaged the book branding it a “pity party for Melania”.
One said: “It will be a short book.”
