Husband HACKS machete-wielding rapist to death after he attacks pregnant wife
A HUSBAND hacked an armed rapist to death with his own machete after he attacked his pregnant wife.
The intruder tried to rape the woman, who was five months pregnant, after forcing his way into the family home in Durban, South Africa. He was armed with a deadly ‘panga’ machete, a sharp, long-handled tool used for cutting down thick brush. But the woman’s husband heard her bloodcurdling screams and raced from a bedroom to fend off his wife’s attacker.
He disarmed the thug before chopping him with his own weapon in the head and arms. The attacker bled to death outside.
Officers from private security company Reaction Unit SA (Rusa), were scrambled to the scene around 11am.
Spokesman Prem Balram said: "Upon arrival the suspect was found lying outside the home bleeding excessively from injuries to his head and arms.”
The husband was arrested on the scene as police investigate.

In 2009, a shocking survey revealed one in four south African men have committed rape, with half of those raping more than one person.
Last year Minister of Police, Bheki Cele revealed 40 per cent of all the rapes in South Africa are against children
South Africa also has one of the highest murder rates in the world, with more than 20,000 homicides in 2017, seven per cent up from the previous year.
Mr Cele believes South Africa ”borders on a war zone” as murders rocket.
An average of 57 murders were committed each year, with 35.8 murders per 100,000 people.
The murder rate has rocketed in the last five years after an increase following more than a decade of decline.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) believes at least 846 of the country’s 20,336 murders in 2017/ were vigilante attacks.
But it’s feared the true figure may be much far higher with motives not established in all murder investigations.
