Explosive device found in California as roads EVACUATED - police on scene
AN EXPLOSIVE device was found at a Pacific Gas and Electric substation in California, prompting police to launch a full-scale investigation.
An explosive device has been found in Fulton, California
The device was found at the PG&E substation at 666 River Road in Fulton, California at around 4.30pm local time (12.30am BST), according to the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office.
All roads leading off southbound Highway 101 at River Road were closed, and traffic was diverted.
A bomb squad handled the device and issued an all-clear just before 6.30pm local time.
Roads leading from Highway 101 were subsequently reopened.
No injuries were reported.
