Beach days are all fun and games – until you're ready to go home.

It's not just children that cringe at the feeling of sand getting stuck in between their toes, refusing to wear socks and shoes until every single grain has been removed.

But clearing sand from your feet properly can feel like an impossible feat. You can rinse them off in the sea, but unless you've discovered the ability to hover, there's no way of getting back to your sun lounger without your tootsiess picking up half the beach again.

Pouring a water bottle over your feet mighht also seem like a good idea, but it never does a thorough enough job.

Luckily, one man has discovered a 'genius' solution that is blowing people's minds – and all you need is a carrier bag.

Taking to TikTok, user Spencer went viral after showing how he fills up a plastic bag with water before digging it into the sand to create a mini foot spa.
"Let's just put some little sandy feet in there," he said, demonstrating how effortless the hack is. "Then the magic happens. All the water gets all the sand off."
Swathes of viewers flocked to the comments section to hail the tip, with one user raving: "I am actually lost for words. Why have I never thought of this?"

Another agreed, commenting: "Oh my God what a genius. I HATE sandy feet! Thank you for sharing." A third desribed the hack as the 'smartest thing ever' while a fourth penned: "It works!"

Others suggested using talcum powder to lift the really stubborn sand from your skin – arguing it works quickly and leaves your feet smelling nice and fresh.
You can pick up talc from your nearest supermarket or beauty store. Sainsbury's is currently sellng a 400g tub for £1.50.
