SNOW could fall in Scotland and the north of England later tonight tonight, after the Met Office released a weather warning for hazardous conditions in London and the south. Here are the latest forecasts and weather maps for this weekend.
Rain and fog set to sweep across the UK
The Met Office has said that some snow could fall on higher ground up north as temperatures drop later tonight and into Saturday morning, but there will be no new accumulation of snow.
Temperatures will feel as low as -2C in Aberdeenshire and Inverness.
London and the South will see sleet and rain after snow was forecast for earlier this morning.

The Met Office said: “Amounts of snow are likely to be trivial, but any rain falling onto already sub-zero surfaces could lead to ice developing in places, particularly on untreated roads and pavements.”
Temperatures will be between 2C and 4C this morning but windchill could make the air feel closer to freezing.
Drivers have been warned to be careful of icy roads and slipper conditions. Those heading out should adapt their winter driving style to suit the hazardous conditions.

Wet and windy weather will continue throughout the weekend, but conditions are expected to be much milder.

Two weeks ago the UK was gripped by a freezing polar cortex which brought strong winds and heavy snow to much of the UK.
The blizzards came after a spell of extreme cold weather in Europe which caused the deaths of more than 30 people in Italy, Poland and Greece.
