UK hot weather forecast as new maps show exactly where 25C Iberian plume will hit in days
Some parts of the UK could enjoy temperatures as high as 25C later this month.
After some below average temperatures this past week, the UK is facing a scorching end to September, weather maps show.
Last weekend, dramatic scenes of thunder and lightning unfolded across parts of the country, followed by a plunge in temperatures, but a warm front is about to change all that.
New weather maps by WX Charts suggest that from Thursday, September 19, parts of the UK could be enjoying temperatures as high as 25C.
One map highlights southern England in bright red, with London expected to bask in 25C, while Norfolk might experience a pleasant 23C.
Temperatures along the southern coast are also expected to be in the 20Cs.

Netweather maps back up the forecast with heat across most of southern England in the mid-20Cs.
Although sunny spells are on the horizon, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and the north of England are likely to be slightly cooler.
In Wales, temperatures could reach up to 22C next Thursday, according to the forecast.
This spell of warmth will eventually give way to more autumnal weather, with periods of wet and unsettled conditions interspersed with drier, more settled spells towards the month's end.
Meteorologists suggest that high temperatures may continue into September 20.
