UK snow maps show 471-mile blizzard as 13 cities buried - full list
Several parts of the UK will be covered under the snow, the maps show.

Snowy conditions are likely to batter parts of the UK next week as the latest weather maps show a 471-mile blizzard hitting the country. The weather maps from WXCharts show that areas ranging from Wick to Manchester will be covered under the layers of snow on March 16 as the temperature drops to -3C.
According to the weather charts, the wintry conditions will begin to spread across the country from March 15 at 6am. Several parts of Scotland such as Wick, Inverness, Fort William, Aberdeen, Dundee and Glasgow are likely to witness snow showers, the maps have suggested. However, the cold weather will begin to spread over the country leaving several areas in England shivewring in the cold. As per the maps, areas around Dundee in Scotland will see 39cm (15 inches) of snow at around 6am in March 16.

The Met Office's long-range forecast between March 14 and 23 reads: "Mostly changeable through this period, with Atlantic frontal systems passing close to or across the UK at times.
"These will bring spells of rain and showers, most frequent and heavy in the west or northwest, and perhaps accompanied by strong winds.
"However, there should also be some drier interludes under transient ridges of high pressure, with longer dry periods most likely in the south and east, though even here some wet weather is likely at times.
"Temperatures will be near average for the period as a whole, but with some shorter-duration colder interludes at times when frost and hill snow will be possible. Later in the period there may be a transition to more blocked or slower evolving weather patterns, though confidence in the detail of this is low."
Jason Kelly, Chief Operational Meteorologist for the Met Office said: “A notable shift in wind direction to a north-westerly flow will bring a markedly colder day nationwide on Friday, with the potential for a mixture of sunny spells, heavy showers, coastal gales, and snow over high ground. There’s also the possibility of accumulations on lower hills too. The picture will become clearer closer to the time, so keep an eye on our forecast as the week progresses”
