THE UK weather will take a turn when Storm Debby brings in days of torrential downpours and fierce winds, with latest forecast maps showing a wall of rain heading to Britain.
Weather: Chart shows Storm Debby to hit UK
The tail-end of Storm Debby will sweep in from the Atlantic, mixing with low-pressure, raising temperatures and causing heavy rain.
Northern parts of the UK and Wales are going to be hit first by the wetter weather.
Strong winds and showers are expected as early as tomorrow, after a short break from rain on Saturday morning.
Weather forecasts have predicated more unsettled weather throughout the week, including widespread thunderstorms.
In southern England next week weather charts show the mercury settling around 20C and around 23C in Scotland.
Despite a summer full of sunshine bringing Britain close to drought, today the Environment Agency released flood warnings ahead of the planned weather.
The continued rainfall and high tides will bring risk of travel disruption and damage to family homes.
Exposed coastal areas are more likely to experience strong gusts, as well as possible flooding and in the south-west residents are to expect plenty of surface water effecting many roads and farmland with localised floods.
According to WXCHARTS, most of Britain can look forward to a slight break in the weather for most of Tuesday, but the weather will rage on for the rest of the week.
Families with outdoor activities planned for the summer holidays, should hold off until the end of the month when the weather is expected to improve.
For some lucky holiday makers most of Europe will still get to enjoy the sunshine.
Next week the Canary Islands will still hit highs in the late twenties, Croatia is set for 30 degrees heat, but despite the warmth Italy will be struck with thunderstorms from Tuesday.
Exacta Weather explained: “There are strong signs for another massive surge in temperatures and prolonged periods of sunshine for many around or just after mid-month.
“On current indications this means the summer will end on a potentially high note with sizzling temperatures in excess of 30C possible into the start of the Autumn.”
Just as you thought the summer had come to an early end, Exacta Weather James Madden said more scorching temperatures will bring a great end for Britain’s summer and even into the Autumn.
