Ken Livingstone refuses to say sorry but mentions Hitler 12 times
The former Mayor of London, who was suspended by the Labour Party for two years after claiming that Hitler was a Zionist, has been lined up to star in comedian Matt Forde’s 2017 Party Political Podcast Specials at London’s Leicester Square Theatre.
Politicians who have previously appeared in the sell out shows include Tony Blair, Neil Kinnock and Ruth Davidson.
The former MP is due to appear next month alongside Nick Clegg and Tory MP Anna Soubry.
Gideon Falter, chairman of the Campaign Against Anti-Semitism, said it was wrong to give Mr Livingstone a platform while he was still under investigation.
Ken Livingstone faces an Anti-Semitism probe
It is outrageous
He said: “There is nothing remotely funny about Ken Livingstone’s unapologetic claim that ‘Hitler was supporting Zionism’. It is outrageous that he is now due to share a platform with senior figures at such a prestigious venue.”
Described as “a raucous end to the wildest year in British politics,” the evening with Ms Soubry and Mr Clegg will take place on December 6, with Mr Livingstone interviewed the following night.
Matt Forde, 35, joined the Labour Party aged 15 but gave up his membership when Jeremy Corbyn was elected as leader in 2015.
