Police declare major incident in Dundee as 'man shot dead with bow and arrow'
POLICE have descended on a street in Dundee after declaring a “major incident” amid reports a man was shot with a bow and arrow.

Officers cordoned off a stretch of Arklay Street late on Sunday night.
Residents reported seeing a man covered in blood and claimed that a person was shot with a bow or crossbow.
Shopkeeper Shahid Mohammed told The Courier local paper: “Customers say someone has been murdered with a bow and arrow."

One resident told the paper: “I called the ambulance at 10.50pm.
“Somebody was in the street shouting ‘please call an ambulance’.
“I looked out and there was a man lying covered in blood. They were working on his chest and then he was taken away in an ambulance.”
Around 10 police cars and a forensics unit arrived on the road after shocked neighbours called emergency services.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Police Scotland can confirm that a man has died following a disturbance at Dundonald Court in Dundee yesterday at around 11.45pm.
"The death is being treated as suspicious and officers are following a positive line of enquiry.
"No further details will be released until formal identification has taken place.
"Next of kin have been informed."
