Police probe mystery death of two triplets
POLICE were tonight investigating the mystery death of two baby triplets who were found dead at their home.
Charlie and Noah died on Saturday morning
Charlie and Noah Owen, who were five months old, died on Saturday morning. It was feared that they were killed by carbon monoxide poisoning but this has subsequently been ruled out.
Their mother Sarah, 29, was unable to wake the boys at their home in Bridgend, Glamorgan.
She was heard screaming “my babies, my babies” after she discovered them dead in their cot.
Ms Owen, who was dressed in pyjamas, was seen holding the third triplet Ethan in her arms in the street while firefighters swept her house for carbon monoxide.

There is nothing to suggest that carbon monoxide poisoning was the cause
Post-mortem examinations are being carried out to discover what killed the two infants in the middle of the night.
A neighbour said: “Sarah’s a single mum and lives there with the triplets who were her pride and joy.”
Detective Inspector Dean Taylor said: “There is nothing to suggest that carbon monoxide poisoning was the cause. There is nothing that leads us to believe that this was anything other than a tragic accident.”
