Big-hearted plumber bought flowers for lonely old woman - and then fell for the FLORIST
LOVE has blossomed for a kind-hearted plumber who ordered colourful bouquet for a lonely pensioner...only to fall for the florist.
Andy Sullivan secretly ordered flowers for a lonely old woman – and fell in love with the florist
Generous Andy Sullivan, 40, secretly ordered bunch of flowers to be delivered to a woman he had never met because he thought she needed cheering her up.
But his random act of kindness was rewarded with a date with the shop manager Lisa Harris, 30, who prepared the floral gift.
The couple have been seeing each other for three months after Ms Harris was attracted by her new partner’s act of generosity.
She said: “He just seemed like a really nice guy - I did think he was good looking but I didn’t think anything of it. Neither of us were looking for anyone.
“I just thought it was a really nice thing to do - not many people would do that.”
Their chance meeting came after Mr Sullivan saw lonely Betty Dixon, 89, sitting on her doorstep as he worked in Plymouth, Devon.

In an amazing act of kindness he sent a bright bunch of flowers complete with a well-wishing note.
He rang Honors Flowers and spoke to manager Ms Harris who arranged the bouquet to be delivered in March.
And over the next few weeks the couple bumped into each other before she eventually plucked up the courage to ask him on a date.
Ms Harris added: “I just kept seeing him everywhere. I saw him drive passed the florists and look in and I saw his van all over the place.
“I definitely think it’s fate - it was really weird. I mean, he could have rang any florists that day - there’s plenty online to choose from. I eventually messaged him and it went from there.
“I just think it’s amazing that because he’s completed a random act of kindness - he’s got something nice out of it too - he’s been rewarded.”

Father-of-one Mr Sullivan from Yealmpton, Devon, said: “I believe in fate massively - it’s all mapped out for us.
“I was just working in the area and happened to pass the florists and look in.
“But we just kept bumping into each other - it’s all very strange. The attraction was just instant - we’re really similar.”
He added: “We’re both just crazy - I’m loud and always laughing and she’s just the same. There’s no effort involved, it’s just easy between us.”
Mr Sullivan has not stopped carrying out his random acts of kindness
After their first date he said he was convinced she was the one for him.
He added: “She didn’t stop laughing the whole time - that’s when I knew.”
Since finding love, Mr Sullivan has not stopped carrying out his random acts of kindness.
He said: “I had an old lady in the other day and because she’d been ripped off previously, I just did the work for nothing - it’s just what I do, I try and help people where I can.”
