THE world’s eyes were fixed on Britain’s capital after a terrorist struck the heart of British Parliament - killing four people in world famous Westminster.

Media across Europe, to the USA, the Middle East have paid tribute to the victims which include 48-year-old police officer Keith Palmer.
Shocking pictures filled front pages after the attack which began at 2.50pm on Westminster Bridge.
The terrorist, currently unnamed by police, drove a 4x4 into people who leapt from the Bridge to get away from the carnage.
He then drove the car into gates outside Parliament before attacking three police officers, killing one.
Armed policemen shot him and he later died.
Police have now revealed seven people remain in a critical condition.

World leaders, celebrities and influential figures began sending messages of condolence for the victims.
The Royal family in Spain tweeted their support for London.
The message said: “Shocked by the bombing of London, our solidarity with the British people and their institutions in the fight against terror.”
President Mariano Rajoy wrote: “Spain is with the British people. I condemn the attack on Westminster, London. Solidarity with the victims. MR.”

Italian premier Paolo Gentiloni also released a statement.
He said: “Italy is close to the people and the government from Britain facing the attack that struck the heart of London and its democratic institutions.
“I express the condolences of the Italian government and mine to the families of the victims and also my affection to the injured.
“Italy and the UK are side by side in the condemnation and firm response against all forms of terrorism."
