A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD girl has died in what has been described as a "major incident" at a property in York.
York police attend scene where seven-year-old was found
Police have arrested a 15-year-old girl after being called to an address on Alness Drive in Woodthorpe at 4.30pm on Monday.
The seven-year-old girl, formally named as Katie Rough, was found near the property and rushed to York Hospital but died shortly after.
Her family are said to be devastated at the schoolgirl's death.

A force spokesman said: "Police were called shortly after 4.30pm on Monday 9 January to an address in Alness Drive in York.
"Officers attended and, upon visiting a scene nearby, they found a seven-year-old girl with life-threatening injuries.
"An ambulance attended and the girl was taken to York District Hospital, where she sadly died a short time later.

On Monday evening, North Yorkshire Police tweeted: "Difficult and tragic shift. Our thoughts and sympathy are with the parents and family involved as well as colleagues who did all they could."
Speaking at the scene, a police spokesman told reporters officers have conducted house-to-house enquiries, adding: "The circumstances require the investigation to be conducted in a particularly sensitive manner."
Floral tributes have been laid at the scene, with grieving family members describing the victim as a "princess".
