CLAPHAM Junction station has been evacuated due to overcrowding as staff fail to control the huge numbers of people stranded at the major station during a Tube strike.

All zone 1 stations in London are closed and services restricted across the capital, causing chaos for anyone attempting to travel.
Buses are heaving and taxi queues snaking down pavements outside stations as Londoners try to get to work.
Crowds were forced outside of Clapham Junction station after it became dangerously overcrowded.
The tunnels were filled with thousands of confused travellers on Monday morning after they were told they had to leave.
Trains are not stopping at the station and crowds are gathering outside.

Mass confusion followed as passengers were herded through tunnels to the street.
The strike has been labelled a “disgrace” as Londoners call on Transport for London to end the feud with the unions.

Commuters reported seeing ambulances and hearing sirens outside.
One woman said: “Clapham Junction is a very similar scene to when the Titanic is sinking; they’re trying to get everyone onto the lifeboats.”
The chaos comes as members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union and the Transport Salaried Staffs Association walked out.
Strike action was called after Transport for London (TfL) and the unions fail to reach an agreement over cuts to staff.
The strike action is being held between 6pm on Sunday and 6pm on Monday.

Unions are claiming "savage cuts to jobs that have reduced London Underground to an under-staffed death trap."
London mayor Sadiq Khan slammed the strikes but has come under fire after he vowed in his campaign he could prevent strikes from taking place.
