Pro-EU think-tank resurrects Project Fear in new wave of warnings
A PRO-EU think-tank has been accused of trying to resurrect the Remain campaign’s Project Fear.
EU Referendum: Project Fear in quotes
Echoing the discredited arguments used by former Chancellor George Osborne and the Remain campaign, Londonbased Chatham House has claimed that prosperity could be hurt if free movement between the UK and the EU ends.
But Richard Tice, co-chairman of Leave Means Leave, said: “There are no surprises that an organisation renowned as pro-EU aren’t keen on the idea of Brexit.
“They need to wake up and accept that Project Fear failed – the British public voted for an independent Britain, free from the anti-democratic, bureaucratic and failing EU.
George Osbourne led the fearmongering in the lead up to the referendum
The Ex-Chancellor threatened the public with budget cuts
“A clean Brexit will enable the UK to function like a normal economy, such as the United States, Canada or China.”

During the referendum the Remain campaign claimed that each household would be hit by £4,300 if there was a Leave vote.
And as David Cameron’s government became increasingly desperate, Mr Osborne said he would hold an emergency budget with £30billion of cuts if people dared to vote Leave.
David Cameron's government lacked the strength to unite over Brexit
None of the predictions came true but Remain supporters have tried to claim that the economic gloom has been delayed until after Brexit takes place.
Theresa May has indicated that her priority for a post-Brexit deal is control over immigration, which most observers believe will force the UK out of the single market.
However, Chatham House concedes that, without a deal to restrain freedom of movement – something EU leaders have said cannot happen if Britain remains part of the internal market – there is likely to be a “political backlash”.
