Terror alert after suspicious car found near London Tube station
TERROR fears have been sparked after a suspicious car was abandoned near a Tube station in central London.
A suspicious vehicle sparked a security alert in central London
A large area in the capital has been cordoned off after the discovery of the vehicle near Blackfriars Station.
Pictures posted on social media showed a black Renault Clio parked in an alley close to Blackfriars bridge at the south side of the rail station next to the River Thames.
Police swarmed the area after the alarm was raised this morning.

A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said: "Police are in attendance at Bankside, SE1 to reports of a suspicious vehicle.
"Cordons are in place while police assess the situation.

"Specialised officers are at the scene. Enquiries continue."
A Twitter user who witnessed the incident said: “All kicking off near #Blackfriars bridge/station this morning. Not sure what's going on exactly.”
Another posted: “Cops, dogs, everything going on at Blackfriars right now."
Officers have since confirmed the incident was a false alarm.
