Alastair Campbell accuses Boris Johnson of writing 'SCARE STORIES' about Europe
ALASTAIR Campbell has attacked Boris Johnson for spreading "scare stories" about Europe and said he did not think that the UK would back Brexit.

The former political strategist claimed that Mr Johnson was "going on about Project Fear" and said the Tory MP had written "scare stories" about Europe.
He made the accusations at the launch of Eastwood's Member of the Scottish Party Ken Macintosh's bid for re-election in East Renfrewshire.

The director of communications for Tony Blair's New Labour Government also said that Brexit campaigners could not say what would happen if the UK leaves the EU following the June referendum.
Mr Campbell said that Mr Johnson and his fellow Brexit campaigners had characterised the Remain campaign as Project Fear.

He added: "I hope Scotland helps keep the UK in the EU. I think all of the UK will stay in Europe. What happens that day is bigger than a change of Government.
"The other side are not sure what will happen."

The comments come as Mr Johnson is now openly backing the Brexit campaign.
He has recently said that Britain could follow the model of Canada in a vision of a brighter future outside the EU.
The Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne, has accused the London mayor of playing political games and referred to his ambitions to rise through Government.
The EU referendum on the country's membership is set for June 23 of this year.
