Armed police arrest ‘agitated’ man after five hour stand-off
ARMED police have arrested a man after a five hour stand-off at a house in Liverpool.
The stand-off lasted five hours
Officers evacuated nearby residents as emergency services attended the scene in Oxford Drive, Waterloo, on Monday evening.
Police cordoned off the area and closed the street as officers attempted to engage with a man reported to be "in an agitated state inside a property".

A man was arrested on suspicion of arson
At one point a police officer outside appeared to be pointing a gun towards the front of the house, reports from the scene suggested.
The man was arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life, after almost five hours.
Police said no-one had been injured but minor damage was caused to the inside of the house.
