WATCH: Moment Lamborghini is engulfed in fireball in dramatic smash
THIS is the moment a raging fire ripped through one of the most in-demand supercars in the world - the Lamborghini - reducing it to a burned out shell.
Lamborghini on fire in Chelmsford
A shocked passerby snapped the luxury sports car, a purple murcielago, which was “100 per cent alight” in Chelmsford, Essex on Saturday night.
Fire crews were called to the burning fireball on Princes Road just before 11pm and extinguished the flames.
A spokesman for Essex Police said the car set alight after it crashed into the barriers when it turned off of a junction.
The road was closed off while firefighters tackled the blaze and cleared the car and debris.

The driver was arrested at the scene.
A police spokesman said: "After enqiuries at the scene, police arrested a 29-year-old man from Romford on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs.
"He was taken to Chelmsford for interview before being released on police bail pending further enquiries to report back on Tuesday, April 19."
