Police storm London train station following reports of man on overhead bridge
POLICE stormed the platform at a London train station this afternoon after receiving reports of a person on an overhead bridge above the rails.
Police stormed Royal Oak station today
Officers descended on Royal Oak, near Paddington, and closed the station after being called to "reports of a person on a bridge".
Commuters reported seeing officers storming the platform as tube services were suspended.
The British Transport Police reported that officers are "at Portchester Rd near Royal Oak and London Paddington stations after reports of a person on a bridge over the rail line".
Minutes later Transport for London tweeted that there was no service between Edgware Road and Hammersmith on the underground service.
The Heathrow Express service also reported severe delays following the incident, which has now been resolved.
