A TORY MP who admitted a relationship with a married colleague now has her sights set on topping the music charts, it was revealed yesterday.
Andrea Jenkyns is to release a charity single
Andrea Jenkyns, who defeated ex-shadow chancellor Ed Balls in the general election, is set to release a charity single.
The former Miss UK beauty pageant finalist and opera singer is recording a song to commemorate the anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
Andrea Jenkyns says she has been singing since she was a youngster
Earlier this month, Ms Jenkyns admitted she was dating married Tory MP and father-of-three Jack Lopresti after they were pictured holding hands at Doncaster railway station.
I have been singing since I was young
Fellow musical politicians Will Quince, MP for Colchester, and Robert Jennick, MP for Newark, will be Ms Jenkyns’ backing singers in the newly formed House of Commons band.
Morley and Outwood MP, Andrea, 41, a former school music teacher, said: “The song has lots of strings with a classical feel and it’s a ballad. It’s for those who have lost loved ones.
“I have been singing since I was young. I’ve had several bands and my album (I Love You In Secret) is still on iTunes.”

The politician and semi-professional soprano will record the ballad in the new year.
It has been written by one of her constituents, who has been brought up in care, to help raise money for the Royal British Legion.
