Pensioner who stopped to ask for directions for 23 SECONDS slapped with parking ticket
A PENSIONER was landed with a £100 fine after he was filmed pulling up at the kerb to ask for directions.
Pensioner Derek Sculthorpe was fined £100 for a 23 seconds stop
Derek Sculthorpe, 77, stopped for just 23 seconds to ask a passerby how to get to the Vulcan Experience exhibition at Robin Hood Airport, Doncaster.
He was later sent pictures of his infringement, along with a £60 penalty notice, after being clocked by the airport’s traffic control force.

After his appeal against the fine was rejected, the firm raised the charge to £100.
Mr Sculthorpe said: “I wasn’t even there a minute. I just stopped and asked this chap.
Derek had to pull up to ask for directions and was fined for it
"This feels like bullying. I’m really angry.”
A spokesman for Vehicle Control Services said Mr Sculthorpe, from Doncaster, should have been aware as he had been fined on the road before.
