Armed German police smash forged passport gang
GERMANY’S elite GSG 9 anti-terrorist unit has smashed a multi-million pound Bulgarian counterfeiting ring making high quality copies of passports, driving licences and identity cards for western European nations.
Copies of British passports are thought to be among the haul seized by armed officers from premises in Berlin on Friday.

A Bulgarian national identified only as Vladimir B, aged 50, was said to be the technical mastermind using laser printers to churn out the documents.
He was said to be earning £10,000 a month from selling fake driving licences alone.
Further arrests were made in Hamburg.
