Gordon Brown’s ‘contempt for voters’
GORDON Brown was last night accused of treating voters with “utter contempt” after failing to speak in a single Commons debate in the past year.
During the last 12 months Mr Brown has accepted an MP’s salary of more than £65,000 a year and around £17,000 in expenses. He also earned more than £1.1million from outside interests.
Tory MP John Glen said: “Gordon Brown treats his constituents with utter contempt. To not speak for 12 months raises the question of what is he still doing here?”
