George Osborne booed as he presents medals at Paralympic ceremony
BOOS are not often heard during a Paralympics victory ceremony, but George Osborne was at the receiving end last night.
As he was announced as the presenter of the medals for the men's T48 400m ceremony, the crowd booed the Chancellor.
Mr Osborne attempted to laugh off the boos but as they continued he seemed to look embarrassed at the crowds reaction.
The Channel 4 commentator said: "First boos that we have heard all week at the Paralympic stadium."
Mr Osborne was joined by Chris Brownridge, marketing director of BMX UK who received applause after the chancellor's rather austere greeting.

Earlier the same day, Mr Cameron had received mixed reaction as he presented the gold medal to swimmer Ellie Simmonds.
He watched the swimmer from the stands as she broke the Paralympic record for the 200m IM-SM6.
Mr Cameron and Mr Osborne will both take part in the Coalition's Cabinet reshuffle today where Baroness Warsi has already been ousted and Ken Clarke is also set to go.
