Barack Obama sings the blues
IF Mick Jagger hands over the microphone, you don’t refuse. And President Barack Obama accepted the challenge during a blues concert at the White House.
He was urged to sing Sweet Home Chicago by guitar hero Buddy Guy, who said: “You gotta keep it up” – referring to the President’s public performance of a few lines from an Al Green song last month.
Obama then took the mic from Jagger to belt out a few lines before handing it back to blues legend BB King, 86. The concert, recorded on Tuesday, will be shown on US TV next week.
