A Place in The Sun: Viewer can't 'stand' property

A Place in the Sun's Jasmine Harman felt the heat during the latest episode of the Channel 4 series, as a couple outright rejected one of her property choices.

Jasmine returned to our screens on Thursday afternoon (October 3), eager to help smitten couple Steve and Sid find their dream holiday home in Fuerteventura with a £100,000 budget.

The property hunt began promisingly, but Jasmine encountered a challenge when she presented a property that was lacking in privacy and space. At the entrance of the three-bedroom complex, Sid and Steve were initially intrigued by what they could snap up for £120k.

But their enthusiasm waned as they delved deeper into house number four, with Sid expressing clear disapproval, stating: "I can't stand it. There's absolutely no privacy."

When Jasmine later inquired about their thoughts on the property, Steve commented: "I personally liked it Jaz, the colour scheme didn't work for us. So we would have to change that," reports the Mirror.

Sid chimed in with her own criticisms, remarking: "Throughout the house it would need complete repainting. The kitchen is way too small."

She continued, lamenting the lack of seclusion: "There's absolutely no privacy at all and the patio at the back it's half the shade- it comes out in the evening but that's no good for me, the day is done."

In efforts to assuage concerns, Jasmine pointed out that the property does feature an extra balcony, yet Sid remained unimpressed. He expressed his reservations, saying: "Yeah but so has everybody else, they're all overlooking each other. No, it's no privacy at all!"

Jasmine voiced her unease during the search to those watching: "Oh my word! I'm really feeling the pressure."

However, as the episode concluded, fortune smiled on Sid and Steve when they chose to make an offer on their second viewing. After nail-biting negotiations, the couple secured their dream abode under the sun.

A visibly emotional Sid couldn't hold back her gratitude towards Jasmine, tearfully exclaiming: "I can't believe we have a place in the sun!"

A Place in the Sun airs weekdays at 4pm on Channel 4.
