Outback murder victim Peter Falconio ‘still alive’
THE drug smuggler accused of murdering backpacker Peter Falconio in Australia 10 years ago claims the Briton is still alive.
In an explosive interview from behind bars in Alice Springs where he is serving a 28-year sentence, Bradley Murdoch says there is new evidence which he hopes will win him a retrial.
Murdoch, 53, tells an Australian TV show tonight that his lawyers are following up new leads which suggest Falconio, 28, of Huddersfield, West Yorks, was never murdered on a remote outback desert road.
Speaking publicly for the first time since his 2005 trial, he says: “You’ve got the wrong guy.”
