Children’s market is the target for Argos
ARGOS launches a range of children’s clothes for the first time today.
It will make it the second-largest fashion retailer in the country, after rival Tesco, with 650 lines in its 800 stores and a further 2,000 online.
The choice will include character clothing, featuring favourites like Barbie, Peppa Pig and Winnie the Pooh.
The range will adhere to the British Retail Consortium’s guidelines on appropriate clothes for youngsters, which set skirt and dress lengths for those under 12.
The stock will also include an exclusive range by 2012 London Olympic hopeful Jessica Ennis.
The catalogue and online retailer will also start selling a range of 5,000 books for both children and adults.
The new additions are part of Argos’s autumn/winter range.
The latest stock will also include an exclusive 12-piece fitness range by British athlete and 2012 London Olympic hopeful Jessica Ennis.
