Two lanes of the M60 are shut this evening (January 31), causing significant queues after a collision on the motorway.

Traffic service Inrix issued the first alert shortly after 5:30pm, noting a crash on the clockwise side near junction 12, the Eccles Interchange.

What do we know so far?

Two lanes of the M60 are closed this evening (January 31) after a crash, causing long queues.

Inrix first reported the incident just after 5:30pm, saying it happened on the clockwise side at junction 12 (Eccles Interchange).

Traffic is backed up to junction 9 (Lostock Circle), and motorway cameras show heavy congestion. Highways England says delays could reach 40 minutes.
