Mystery as body of woman found in park after ‘unexplained’ death
Police have launched an investigation after a member of the public found the body.

The body of a woman was found in a park and police have said the death is "unexplained". Officers have launched an investigation after the body was discovered during the early hours of this morning (Wednesday, August 27).
A member of the public found the body of the woman in Sherrington Road Recreation Ground, Ipswich, at 5.50am. She was lying on the ground and the member of the public called Suffolk Police immediately. Emergency services rushed to the scene but the woman was declared dead around 30 minutes later.

Police are currently treating the death as unexplained. A cordon remains in place around the park as officers investigate the circumstances around the death.
The force are also appealing to the public for information. They are urged to contact police if they have any relevant details on what happened.
Suffolk Police said: "The death is currently being treated as unexplained and there is a police scene in place around the entire recreation ground, which will remain closed whilst initial enquiries take place."

It comes after the body of a woman was found in the car park of a B&M store on Monday (August 25). Police were called to the scene in Tottenham at around 6.30am and are also treating the death as unexplained.
A Met spokesperson said: "Police patrolling the High Road area, Tottenham, discovered a deceased woman at 06:31 on Sunday, 24 August.
"Her death is being treated as unexpected at this time. Enquiries are ongoing, and a crime scene remains in place.
"Witnesses or anyone with information should contact police by calling 101 or post on X ‘@MetCC’ quoting CAD 1721/24Aug."
