'Drive-by shooting' in leafy neighbourhood sparks police probe

Police are now appealing for witnesses or drivers with dashcam footage to come forward after shots were fired at a house in the early hours of Saturday morning.

There have been reports of a drive-shooting in a Solihull neighbourhood after shots were fired at a house in the early hours of Saturday morning. 

An investigation is now underway following the incident on Brookvale Road, Olton, that saw armed police called just after 1am on July 13. 

Nobody was injured but the road was sealed off while enquiries were carried out, and police are now appealing for witnesses or drivers with dashcam footage to come forward.

The police are also going to be carrying out extra patrols in the area while the investigation continues.

A police spokesperson said: "We were called to Brookvale Road, Solihull, shortly before 1am this morning (Saturday) after two shots were fired at a property. No one was hurt.

"We are in the early stages of our investigation and would appeal for witnesses or anyone who may have any dashcam footage to please contact us via Live Chat on our website or by ringing 101 quoting log number 138 of 13 July.

"We understand incidents of this nature are concerning and we will have extra officers in the area today completing enquiries and offering reassurance."
