During the summer months, a trip to the seaside is the perfect way to spend a sunny day. Even better if the beach has a pub within walking distance too.

Somerset is one corner of the UK that is inundated with beautiful beaches. Just a short drive from Lyme Regis, the picturesque village of Seatown boasts a breathtaking beach where you can literally drive your car right up to the sand.

Seatown, a picturesque village not far from Lyme Regis, boasts a beautiful beach where you can drive your car right up to the shoreline.

Once parked, you can either head straight for the sand or embark on one of the breathtaking cliff walks, offering panoramic views over Golden Cap and beyond.

The Anchor Inn, a charming pub situated right by the sea, serves delicious seafood dishes that can be enjoyed alongside a glass of wine while taking in the spectacular views, whether during the day or in the evening. The pub, with its rustic interior and terraces overlooking the sea, is a truly lovely spot.
