Four police officers hurt as gang of rowdy youths cause chaos on high street
A group of young people were behaving in an anti-social manner at a shopping centre in London.
Four police officers have been injured after an incident at The Glades Shopping Centre, in South East London, on Friday afternoon.
Metropolitan Police Officers were called to respond to a disturbance as a large group of youngsters behaving in an anti-social manner.
The force said that the group refused to disperse.
Five of the group have been arrested on suspicion of assaulting police and affray while one youngster was arrested for breaching a dispersal order.
Four police officers were injured during the hostile exchange.
The force added that the injuries suffered by the officers were not life-threatening.
The arrested youths were taken to a South London police station and a dispersal order is in place for Bromley town centre until 6am on Saturday, April 1.
Video footage shared online shows the group walking through the shopping centre prior to the incident.
Two people were caught on film fighting each other with those around them screaming and cheering.
