Heathrow Airport security alert sparks closure of tube station at Terminal 5
Transport for London has confirmed the closure.
The tube station at Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 has been closed following a security alert. Transport for London confirmed the closure of the station. It said on Twitter: "Heathrow Terminal 5. This station is closed while we respond to a security alert".

Express.co.uk contacted a spokesperson of Heathrow Airport who said there is "no impact on the airport operationally" and that the "airport itself is still running".
At 11:38pm on Monday night the TfL issued a subsequent update, stating the terminal has reopened.
The British Transport Police and the Metropolitan Police have also been contacted.
Terminal 5 is the UK's largest free-standing building
Flights arriving at the terminal in the early hours of Tuesday morning were expected to be on time.
