Cotswolds crash hell: 2 dead with woman and young baby fighting for life after HGV pile-up
TWO PEOPLE have been killed following an HGV smash, while a 29-year-old and a baby are fighting for their lives in hospital.
Emergency services were called to a stretch of the A436 near the Cotswolds village of Andoversford on Monday following reports of a crash between a Mazda and an HGV. The driver of the Mazda, a 31-year-old man died at the scene.
A young woman also died while being treated in hospital.
Three other passengers in the car, including a one-year-old baby, were also rushed to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and Southmead Hospital in Bristol.
The baby and a 29-year-old woman remain in a serious condition and the lorry driver sustained minor injuries.
According to reports, a 24-year-old man has since been discharged.

A spokesperson from Gloucestershire Police said: "Officers would like to hear from anyone who has not already been spoken to and may have witnessed what happened.
"They are also appealing for anyone with dashcam footage of the collision."
They added: "Officers wish to extend their thanks to members of the public who provided assistance at the scene, as well as to colleagues from the fire and ambulance services.
"The families of those involved are being supported by specially trained officers."

The police said the Mazda had been travelling from Andoversford towards Seven Springs, while the HGV was driving the opposite direction.
Police confirmed road closures were put into place on the road as emergency services dealt with the incident.
However, the road closures have since been lifted.
