Afghanistan: Soldier killed in possible friendly-fire
ANOTHER British soldier has been killed in a second possible friendly fire incident in Afghanistan this week.
The serviceman, from 3rd Battalion The Rifles, died yesterday from wounds sustained in a firefight near Sangin in Helmand Province. His family have been told.
This followed the death of Lance Corporal Michael David Pritchard, 22, of the 4th Regiment Royal Military Police, in a separate incident in Sangin on Sunday.
Both deaths are under investigation by the Royal Military Police, the Ministry of Defence said. It said it would not release any more details until the conclusion of inquests.
