London stabbing: Man ‘knifed multiple times’ in broad daylight - police rush to scene
A MAN has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in broad daylight in Pimlico.
Police were called to the incident on Lupus Street just after 3pm. A man was taken to hospital with stab injuries.
His condition is not known.
A video shared on Twitter shows a heavy police and ambulance presence at the scene.
The area has been cordoned off.
A number of roads have been closed including Lupus Street, Glasgow Terrace and Cumberland Street.
Police are urging people to avoid the area.
No arrests have yet been made.
In a statement, a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "Police were called around 3pm on Friday, 18 March to Lupus Street SW1 to reports of a stabbing.
"Officers attended the scene and discovered a man with stab wounds.
"He has been taken to a London hospital – condition unknown.
"No arrests. Enquiries continue.
"There are a number of road closures around Churchill Gardens, these include Lupus Street, Glasgow Terrace and Cumberland Street. Please avoid the area."
