Afghanistan hero who missed his little girl
A SOLDIER killed in Afghanistan had been seen on television by millions, saying how much he missed his young daughter.
Sergeant Stuart Millar, from Inverness, told ITN this year how he always carried a picture of Grace in his back pocket.
Sgt Millar, 40, of The Black Watch, said: “She’s a little smasher – a little gem.”
His family said yesterday: “He was very brave and a credit to us and the Army.”
Sgt Millar died on Monday alongside Private Kevin Elliott, 24, from Dundee, described as an “awesome fighting Jock”.
Pte Elliott’s family described him as “a loving son, brother, grandson, brother, nephew, uncle and cousin”.
The two deaths take the British toll in Afghanistan to 210.
