AN AUDIENCE member clashed with BBC Question Time’s host Fiona Bruce over the time allowed to debate Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in what turned out to be a feisty exchange.
Meghan Markle and Harry: QT audience member clashes with host
A considerable amount of time was allocated to debate the issues unfolding regarding Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s split from senior royalty and the responsibilities it entails. There was, according to the BBC, a lot of questions and audience want of a large proportion to be given to talk about the topic, yet, one audience member was exasperated and had reached the end of his tether with the subject.
The audience member said: “We’ve spent ten minutes talking about the lives of billionaires who exist on state subsides and benefits.
“Can we move on to something more important please?
“I’m just not that bothered.”
This pleased the crowd, with an overwhelming majority of the audience applauding the man in his candid speech.
Members of the panel too laughed, while Alyn Smith could be seen clapping triumphantly.
Quite flippantly, Fiona Bruce replied: “The only reason we’re asking questions about Meghan and Harry is because so many people in the audience wanted to discuss it.
“But, in fact, I was just about to move on.
“So, shall we do that?

Asides from a brief spell covering the government’s bail-out of the regional airline, Flybe, the first half an hour of the show was dominated by the royal feud currently unfolding between Meghan and Harry and the rest of the family.

However, journalist and royal commentator, Madeline Grant, claimed to know what the Sussex’s will resemble in the near future.
She said:She said: “No doubt there has been a great deal of racism directed at Meghan Markle from members of the public and some sections of the press, of course there has.
“But I think in general what has really aggravated people isn’t the colour of her skin, but the apparent hypocrisy that they have shown on a number of occasions.
“Even the way in which they want to exit the royal family - they’re not proposing to be like the Dutch royal family where they cycle to work or maintain a regular job.
“What they’re proposing is a strange hybrid Where they’ll retain many of the perks and privileges of being in the royal family but you expect none of the duties.
“I think we’re going to get a kind of woke celebrity, sort of Gwyneth Paltrow meets Greta Thunberg with a bit of Kardashian thrown in for good measure type thing.”
The crowd laughed at this, and Fiona Bruce said: “Now you’ve painted an extraordinary vision for us all Madeline.”
She continued: “They say they want to avoid press coverage, but I think what they’re hoping to achieve with this brand is exchange UK coverage for US coverage.
“I think the public completely understands and emphasises their need to live a more private life and get their roots out of the royal family that would enable them to do that.
“But, what they’re proposing is not a retreat from public life at all and I think the hypocrisy of that is really annoying a lot of people.”
The lengthy speech was met with applause all around the studio.
