The BBC meteorologist warned that there is 80 flooding warnings in England as well as 1 in Wales. She said: "After all the rain we have seen of late there is 1 flood warning in Wales and 80 in England. There is more rain on the cards in the next few days during this Christmas week.
"But it won’t be raining all the time, some of us will get away with some dry weather.
"In fact many of us will today."
The BBC presenter continued: "There is some low pressure, you can see various fronts producing some showers
"Some of those will merge as we go through the day.

"We have got another front moving eastwards across England, that to is producing some showers.
"Showers today in the east will be fairly isolated but there are more of them in the west.
"They will become heavier as they merge particularly across northern and western Scotland."
For many it will actually be a dry day and a bright day with sunny skies.

Generally speaking, we’re in the mid to high figures or indeed 11 degrees as we push through to the south.
Through this evening and overnight a weather front coming in across the south west will bring rain.
It is going to be as windy as we have seen recently.
Once again that means we won’t have such an issue with frost.
