Wills to see World Cup
PRINCE William plans to cheer England on in person at the World Cup in South Africa next year.
The Prince, who is president of the Football Association, is expected to spend several days at the month-long competition lobbying for England’s bid to stage the 2018 Finals.
He is also keen to attend at least one game involving England, who look almost certain to qualify.
The trip will come before William, 27, takes up his first posting as an RAF search and rescue helicopter pilot – and after two official visits to Australia and New Zealand.
The three trips will mark a milestone in the Prince’s preparations for his future role as King. They come amid a flurry of Royal trips to Commonwealth nations, including visits to Canada by Charles and Camilla and the Queen.
