London bloodbath: Man injured after serious assault at Croydon tram stop
A MAN is being treated for injuries following a "serious assault" near Blackhorse Lane tram stop in Croydon, South London, British Transport Police confirmed.
Officers raced to the scene at 2:47pm today to reports of a man with injuries following a serious assault. The British Transport Police, Met Police and London Ambulance Service attended the scene. The vicitm was treated for this inuries at the scene, a British Transport Police spokesman said.
The man was taken to a major trauma centre afterwards.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 2:45pm today (4 January) to Woodside Road, Croydon to reports of an incident.
“We sent an incident response officer, a single responder in a car and an ambulance crew to the scene.
"We treated a man at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority."
It is understood if the assailant has not been found.
Tram stops between Blackhorse Lane and Woodside are still closed.
