The BBC host disrupted the weather segment on Monday to tease the forecaster who was attempting to hedge his bets on the possible weather over the August bank holiday Monday.
After the BBC Weather forecaster issued the possible outcomes for the bank holiday weather, Mr McCoy joked: “I don’t want people to know too much about what we get up to before we come on air but I was standing…”
The giggling weather presenter quickly interrupted the BBC host and said: “You’re going to mention ironing, aren’t you?”
In response, Mr McCoy revealed: “I actually did a bit of his ironing this morning.

“I was trying to teach him how to iron properly. But, anyway.”

“So, what you are doing there is you are hedging your bets.”
Mr Bett insisted there is a 75 percent chance the weather seen in the UK over the past week will continue into next week.
During the BBC forecast, Mr Bett said: “What you could find is that over the bank holiday weekend it gets quite hot and it gets humid but there could be thunderstorms.
“That, at the moment, is only a 25 percent probability.
“75 percent probability is for a continuation of the Atlantic winds, the westerly winds and rather mixed weather.”
