The 32-year-old Theory of Everything star and his financial publicist wife exchanged vows at Babington House in Somerset last month.
"She was a good half-hour late," Eddie revealed during an interview with US chat show host Ellen DeGeneres.
The Golden Globe nominated actor admitted he wasn't scared that his bride-to-be had got cold feet.
"Everyone else was really stressed," he said, "but I was kind of relaxed knowing that she'd never been on time for pretty much anything in her life."

Eddie also spilled the beans on their honeymoon in the Alps, which he says didn't go to plan due to a lack of snow.
"We went to the Alps, which was such a beautiful idea, but unfortunately there was no snow," he said.
Adding:"That was just an excuse to take long lunches, drink a lot of red wine and have a lot of fondue."

Eddie is a serious contender to be crowned Best Actor award at the Golden Globes for his role as theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking in his new biopic The Theory Of Everything.
But he faces stiff competition from fellow Brit Benedict Cumberbatch who is up for the pretigious accolade for his part in The Imitation Game.
Other notable British nominees at the ceremony are Eddie's co-star Felicity Jones for best actress, Dame Helen Mirren for best actress in a musical or comedy for The Hundred-Foot Journey and Emily Blunt for Into The Woods.
