She's still got it! Angela Rippon, 70, goes hell for leather in racy outfit
SHE may have turned 70 recently but Angela Ripon has proved she still has a rebellious streak.
The TV star, who was the BBC's first female news anchor, clearly has a bit of a penchant for leather as she opted for a double dose of the material at a party for furniture designers GPlan Upholstery.
Displaying her edgy chic, she wore an all-black figure hugging ensemble, which consisted of leather trousers, a polo neck jumper and a stylish studded jacket.
A pair of knee-high boots with a kitten heel added a few inches to Angela's long, shapely legs - which she famously showed off during her high-kicking dance moves on the Morecambe and Wise Show almost 40 years ago.
Despite Angela's outfit being an unconventional look for a woman who celebrated her 70th birthday last weekend, she previously admitted that she has never been afraid to break the mould.
Last year the veteran TV presenter announced: "I decided when I was 50 that I was going to grow old disgracefully, and I'm keeping to it.
"I was at a lunch and we talked about the fashion police dictating that women of a certain age shouldn't wear black leather trousers or knee-high suede boots."
She added: "Well, knickers to that. I've got black leather trousers and I wear suede boots up to my knees and beyond.
"I shall wear what I feel good in and frankly that's nobody else's business."
Four decades after becoming national TV’s first permanent female newsreader, Angela remains in huge demand.
She recently co-presented the BBC's Rip Off Britain and Holiday Hit Squad.
This year she moved to ITV to co-host quiz show Amazing Greys.
