'Some of my hardest decisions': Cheryl tweets to fans after dramatic X Factor scenes
IT WAS a tense evening for X Factor fans as they watched Cheryl Fernandez-Versini pick six contestants to go through to the next stage of the competition.
There were tears and tantrums as the Crazy Stupid Love singer filled all six places for the next level of the competition before hearing all the girls audition.
Which meant she then had to pick others - who previously thought they were safely through to the next stage - to leave the competition.
Cheryl gave a last-minute reprieve to posh performer Chloe Jasmine after admitting she made "a big mistake" by initially dropping her from the singing show.
A big thank you and respect to each of those girls. Every one of them were talented! Some of my hardest decisions as an X factor judge

The former Girls Aloud star had given her a place in the next round before dropping her in the six-chair challenge which decides which acts go through to the judge's houses stage, but then changed her mind again.
She called the Londoner back on stage at Wembley Arena, after telling the audience: "I've made a mistake. I've made such a big mistake. I want to bring Chloe back."
She then apologised to Chloe, saying: "I want versatility in my group going forward. If I had six girls who all represented the same thing, it would be boring. I want somebody that can do something different each week, you have that for me, and I'm missing that when I look up there.
"I want to put you in my top six. Unfortunately, I don't want to lose anybody but I do want to switch you out."
The 23-year-old was given the place of Irish singer Orla Keogh and joined Lola Saunders, Lauren Platt, Kerrianne Covell, Stephanie Nala and Emily Middlemas in the next stage.
It is the first time X Factor has been shown on Friday night - the show continues this evening with more bootcamp action.
