Downton Abbey's Joanne Froggatt hints at Bond girl role in new OO7 film
JOANNE Froggatt could be swapping her maid attire for a sexy bikini if she manages to land a role in the new OO7 movie.
The 34-year-old star, who is best known for her role as maid Anna Bates in Downton Abbey, has hinted that she may have auditioned for the upcoming James Bond film.
According to The Sun, when asked if she had auditioned for the movie, she replied: "I can't comment really on that one."
But then admitted: "Who wouldn't like to be a Bond girl? I am not the Bond girl type. I would probably be more a Q or an M...we'll see. I don’t know."
The next 007 film is already in pre-production and is currently in casting - meaning Joanne could land herself a part alongside Daniel Craig.

However, Joanne probably wouldn't feel that starstruck if she did land the part as she's used to meeting Hollywood actors thanks to her role in the hit period drama.
At the Emmy Awards recently - where she was nominated for best drama supporting actress - Joanne said she felt honoured that people such as Jon Hamm, Bryan Cranston and Kevin Spacey liked having their photos taken with her and her co-stars.
"It is lovely and it is just amazing that the show has become so popular all over the world and people genuinely enjoy it," she said.
"It is such a positive feeling to think I am part of something which makes somebody happy. It is great and just what you dream of."
